Brilliant wee stay, x
Just finished a week at this lovely cottage and we didn't want to leave. It has everything you could possibly wish for, a real home from home. Ideal for exploring the northern part of the Isle of Skye and highly recommended.
Superb getaway for two! A lovely wee house with an open gallery bedroom - perfect for a couple. Dunvegan village is a hop, skip and a jump away and offers great places to eat and a well-stocked wee shop. There are great walks in the area too. A big like from us!
We are so delighted with The Old Fire Station. It's such a beautifully presented wee spot. All mod cons including wi-fi, fully fitted kitchen, shower, heating... we were even provided with a cheeky bottle of wine. The second floor provides a comfy super king bed with a big closet, and a balcony looking to the floor below. In the height of winter we were cosy and warm, fully double glazed with the upstairs windows having velux blackout blinds. Syd, the owner popped down to see us to explain the bits and pieces we needed to know, such a lovely chap. We highly recommend this place.

The old fire station had been renovated to a very high standard and was extremely comfortable, the location was superb, looking out over Loch Dunvegan and MacLeod's tables. The facilities in and around the village were very good and we only ventured out of the village on one evening to visit the renowned Stein Inn for a meal, which was excellent. The owner Syd was a very nice and helpful person but left us alone unless we contacted him. We did a lot of sight-seeing and a lot of walking, including the Cuillin Hills. The Isle of Skye is a wonderful place to holiday, no doubt we will be back.Robert from Lancashire, UK -

A great base to tour the island with everything that was needed. We cooked meals every day in the well equipped kitchen. It is very clean and warm even on a damp day and the owner is at close hand if needed (we never needed to contact him). The Old Fire Station is a wonderful holiday cottage with everything you could want. It's cosy, comfortable, spacious and well resourced. The perfect retreat to return to after a day in the beautiful outdoors with a view that was always interesting regardless of the weather when you are indoors. The owner is very welcoming and has thought of everything. He lives next door so is easily on hand but never intruded. The local store looks modest from the outside but had everything we needed and more. I recommend booking a table at the old school restaurant - delicious.
