Meet the owners

Syd lives next door to the cottage. He settled on his family's croft in nearby Glendale in 1969, and since then has lived and worked in and around Dunvegan. He is on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Marion was drawn to Skye by the dream of living on this beautiful island, and worked here as a teacher, as well as crofting part-time. Now living in Cambridge she returns regularly, so you may see her when you visit.

Dunvegan is the main village on the north west coast of Skye, about 1hr drive from the Skye Bridge and 3¼hr from the Inverness. It is clearly signposted from the Skye Bridge. Once in Dunvegan, take the right hand turn at the junction opposite the Dunvegan Hotel onto the A850 – Portree Road. Old Fire Station is the second property on the right hand side and is clearly signed. If you ask locally for directions, ask for the 'old' fire station, or you may find yourself visiting the local Fire Service. View on google map
